(Annotation: „Raum“ in German language not only means space, but also stands for room, area, scope or anything spatial). „R-Magazin #1“ is a theoretic-scientific research about space and the relation between space and the human being. It is a collaboration from Karoline Dausien, Daniel Niens and Jakob Buse, made in the 5th semester at the AMD Hamburg. Designing spatial concepts and rooms in a functional and logical manner – so that the human is able to orient oneself and feel well inside – was the main content of our course of studies in general. For this work we focused on the theoretical background: We collected expert statements and photos, developed hypotheses, built spatial models, we moved consciously in rooms, identified phenomena and demonstrated coherences. On purpose we did not do a stringent study about space, as we preferred to research the different levels of this subject, for example the humans’ relation to space/room, the perception of space/room, light, material, colour or acoustics. „R-Magazin #1“ was the theoretical base for the „R-Magazin 2#“ which followed in the 6th semesters continuing course.
The work contains: 10 issues of the magazine.
